Senior Product Manager - Payments Experience

**About the Role**
From the first Uber rides back in 2010, a magical payment was at the core of the experience. Fast-forward to today: Uber connects people around the world, with a broad and expanding set of products spanning transportation and delivery, and the customer expectation is even higher: payments should be fast, reliable, locally relevant, and secure. For earners, accessing money earned on the platform is critical to completing daily routines.
Our team creates the experiences that put our customers in control of their money in the manner they're most comfortable. We've moved beyond just credit cards: new ways to pay have become popular around the world (mobile wallets, QR codes, open banking) and the Uber experience must evolve to continue providing the magical experience customers demand.
**What you will do**
This role is responsible for building an experience that is simple, safe, and effective at guiding Uber customers through the sometimes complex transactions they have on the platform.
This would entail the following:
1. Internalize and deeply understand Uber’s mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of your specific team.
2. Understand the needs of our users and potential users as well as the business to define the vision, strategy and the roadmap for your product area.
3. Drive the cross-functional team (engineering, design, etc.) team to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals challenging all members to think boldly and creatively and then to funnel that energy into concrete products and execution plans.
4. Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process.
5. Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, including internal partners and leadership teams.
6. Understand our data and uncover ways to iterate on effectiveness, usage, and quality.
7. Build a plan to grow & scale the existing product through high-velocity experimentation
**Basic Qualifications**
01. 5+ yrs of experience delivering highly successful user-facing products
02. Ability to distill insights from users, the market, and other teams into a concise problem statement
03. Strong opinions about how things should be, with openness to input feedback
04. A high bar for quality - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on
05. Data-driven: you always get the data you need, and you can distill it into an insightful story. Most importantly, you maximize data to drive strategic decisions
06. Technical skills: Ability to inform and evaluate engineering decisions
07. User-focused: You are passionate about always making the user experience positive and unwilling to allow product challenges to impact users negatively
08. The desire to grow and learn
09. Ability to unify broad and diverse sets of stakeholders around a shared vision, while keeping them included in ongoing trade-offs.
10. Great presentation and business communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
1. Global experience, building products that serve customers in wide range of regional contexts
2. Payments or Financial Products experience
3. Experience in building products for a 2-sided marketplace
