What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who is part of the Product Management team for SAP BTP HANA & Persistency at SAP. As a member of the SAP BTP HANA & Persistency Product Management team you will be working to achieve key objectives: maximize the adoption, consumption, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction of our cloud database products; ensure customer success, while opening new markets with new value-add and innovative product capabilities; drive collaboration between engineering, customer success, marketing, and other cross functional units for product requirements; foster a strong partner ecosystem for organic expansion; research market and competition to develop a long term product strategy and roadmap; articulate our technical capabilities into understandable business value internally and externally. Significant emphasis will be placed on customer adoption, retention, and expansion as well as competitiveness, innovation, and field as well as customer readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the development and execution of the product strategy Supporting maximizing product adoption, migration, retention, and expansion activities and programs. Administering feedback gathering programs, responding to queries from customers and monitoring online communities Creating sample programs for new and upcoming technology as well as writing technical assets and whitepapers for internal and external audiences Developing and delivering documents, product demonstrations, webcasts and other related activities with team members Fostering a vibrant partner community to multiply product success Planning, coordinating and executing large-scale customer awareness activities to drive product
What You Bring
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of database administration/management tools and application development (SQL, JDBC) Knowledge of SAP’s cloud Database, Data Management, and Analytics portfolio Knowledge of the Database, Data Management, and Analytics market (products, vendors etc.) Knowledge of database and cloud database technologies and market dynamics Knowledge with SAP database technologies: SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA, SAP ASE, SAP IQ
Soft Skills:
Strategic mindset Openness for a variety of changing requirements and the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic environments Strong leadership interaction skills and the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders at different levels High level of self-motivation, independence, and strong organizational skills to coordinate tasks effectively Proven ability to take initiative, drive progress proactively, and contribute to achieving team and organizational goals Ability to work independent and in (virtual) teams Ability to integrate into and thrive within a highly self-organized, and autonomous team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal, external, and C-level audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required Fluent in English Product or Solution Management or Marketing related roles in the Database, Data Management or Analytics space, focusing on solutions like SAP HANA, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP BW, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP BusinessObjects Customer and field facing roles and experience
