The Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our consumer lending product capabilities within our Core Banking platform, with a dedicated focus on the Mexican retail banking market. This individual contributor role is critical to enabling banks and fintechs to launch, manage, and scale compliant and competitive credit products tailored to the needs of Mexican consumers. You’ll play a hands-on role in designing features that support unsecured personal loans (crédito personal), payroll-linked loans (crédito de nómina), and other consumer lending products—working at the intersection of product design, regulatory alignment, and technical delivery. What you’ll do: + Own the product roadmap and backlog for consumer lending features within our Core Banking platform, with full responsibility for defining and prioritizing user stories, technical requirements, and regulatory constraints. + Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to deliver APIs and user experiences that support the loan disbursement, accounting, servicing, payments, delinquency, and closure. + Interpret and operationalize Mexican lending regulations—including interest rate caps (usura), credit bureau reporting, and payroll loan regulations—in close partnership with Legal and Compliance. + Translate regulatory and market requirements into configurable platform features, defaults, and documentation that simplify adoption for clients and reduce legal risk. + Partner with Sales, Implementation, and Support teams to ensure successful client onboarding and ongoing delivery of lending functionality. + Monitor trends across consumer credit, fintech lending, and embedded finance in Mexico to identify gaps and opportunities that inform product decisions. + Act as a subject matter expert on Mexican consumer lending, supporting internal enablement, commercial strategy, and go-to-market efforts as needed. What you’ll need: + 8+ years of product management experience in lending, banking, fintech, or financial technology, with direct responsibility for consumer credit products. + Strong domain expertise in the Mexican lending ecosystem, including products like unsecured loans, payroll-linked loans, and/or microloans. + Familiarity with regulatory frameworks from CNBV, CONDUSEF, Banxico, and credit bureaus (Buró de Crédito, Círculo de Crédito), especially as they relate to interest rates, debt collection, and credit data sharing. + Experience working with core banking systems or lending engines—especially in areas such as amortization schedules, payment processing, loan servicing, and collections workflows. + Fluency in Spanish, with strong professional proficiency in English—including excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. + Strong technical understanding of APIs and system integrations, with comfort working in agile development environments. + Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally across engineering, legal, compliance, sales, and support. Success in this Role Looks Like: + You’ve launched new or enhanced lending features that enable clients to offer compliant, flexible, and scalable consumer credit products with minimal customization. + Product capabilities reflect a deep understanding of Mexican regulations, credit market dynamics, and borrower needs—supporting product differentiation and ease of adoption. + You’ve proactively translated complex rules (e.g., CAT calculation, payroll portability, or usury limits) into actionable system configurations or product defaults. + Your work has led to faster implementation timelines, reduced client friction, and improved platform trust in the Mexican lending market. + Internal stakeholders—from sales to legal—see you as the go-to resource for consumer credit product expertise in Mexico. What You’ll Gain: + The opportunity to shape the future of digital consumer lending infrastructure in Mexico. + A critical role on a high-impact team working to modernize financial services and promote responsible access to credit. + The chance to deepen your expertise in regulatory tech, financial product design, and the rapidly evolving Mexican fintech ecosystem. Why you’ll love working here: + Competitive salary packages and bonuses + Supplemental medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits. + Generous vacation and holidays + Paid parental leave for eligible employees + Great health & well-being benefits including: telehealth parental support, subsidized gym program + Fully stocked kitchen (snacks and drinks) Galileo Financial Technologies provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion (including religious dress and grooming practices), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions, breastfeeding, and conditions related to breastfeeding), gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, ancestry, age (40 or over), physical or medical disability, medical condition, marital status, registered domestic partner status, sexual orientation, genetic information, military and/or veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by applicable state or federal law.
