Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Identify use cases and define business requirements to address key client needs in emerging verticals

·       Capture voice of customer and analyze data to help inform product strategies, feature roadmap and/or new vertical opportunities

·       Understand market needs, developing value propositions, product requirements, rules, pricing, roadmap, and communicating internally and externally

·       Collaborate with cross-functional partners including regional product, treasury, technology, legal, compliance, marketing, sales, operations, client services, and risk to ensure successful launch of products & capabilities

·       Establish and codify processes to ensure a simplified sales, implementation and onboarding model to support scale

·       Serve as the subject matter expert for portfolio of products, both internally and externally with Visa sales partners and clients

 

 

Additionally, the Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for developing a scalable MNP model which will provide issuers with a turnkey solution to global issuance:

Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure that the scalable MNP model has received all required Visa approvals

Work with external partners to establish the operating model for the scalable MNP program

Align closely with the Global Implementation Specialist to launch the model in targeted countries

Create Sales material and act as subject matter expert to support Visa sales partners

Work with regional Visa team members to create a portfolio of third-party issuers supporting the indirect issuance MNP model

 

- Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues. Build out unique, creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa’s many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development.

- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations.

- Work closely with cross-functional, local and regional management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support.

- Develop clear and concise executive level communications. Communicate recommendations in a clear impactful way.

The ideal candidate is an experienced product manager with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrixed environment.  Diplomacy to manage relationships and expectations, while ensuring a strong global approach and alignment, is critical to succeeding in this role.  He/She must have proven experience in working with third-party issuers and commercializing payment products that deliver strong value propositions to the market.  This role requires strategic leadership, innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.  He/she is creative and hands-on, has a bias towards action and is able to inspire others with his/her vision.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Deep product management experience within commercial/B2B payments
• Experienced product leader with a record of accomplishment for creating and developing new product capabilities from initial concept to industry leadership
• Proven track record of developing and executing a product vision for successful products based on a deep understanding of customer needs
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new opportunities to innovate and differentiate with evidence of tangible business results
• Experience managing and developing strong partnerships with third-party issuing banks
• Excellent ability to develop and communicate strategy, and secure internal investment for products
• Natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and strong executive presence
• Must be self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and competence to influence multiple levels and organizations including internal and external stakeholders

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 135,200 to 207,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
