The Washington Post is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and creative product leader with an appreciation for journalism and a deep interest in how technology can support its future. As part of the Monetization team, you will play a key role in shaping the digital subscriber experience—leading strategic and innovative work that ensures our B2C subscription platforms evolve with our users and business priorities.
This is a hands-on role requiring ownership of a major product area. You'll work across disciplines to develop features that drive user growth, engagement, and retention, while also identifying new B2C and SaaS product opportunities. How You’ll Support the Mission
Define and lead the subscriptions product roadmap to drive audience growth, increase retention, and support long-term business sustainability through compelling B2C and SaaS offerings.
Deliver high-impact product features by leading discovery, experimentation, testing, and iterative development from concept through launch.
Translate subscriber needs, behaviors, and pain points into strategies that improve the user experience and directly support engagement and conversion goals.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, user-centered solutions that balance technical feasibility, design excellence, and business value.
Foster alignment and accountability by clearly articulating product vision, goals, and progress across stakeholders at all levels.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve team workflows and decision-making, increasing overall efficiency and execution speed in a dynamic environment.
The Skills and Experience You Bring
3+ years of experience in product management, including ownership of customer-facing digital products
Proven track record of leading initiatives from concept to execution, with increasing complexity and visibility
Demonstrated use of data, experimentation, and user research to inform strategy and delivery
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communication to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and lead process improvement efforts across teams, including senior and executive stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience developing SaaS product offerings
Experience in digital media, publishing, or subscription-based business models
Familiarity with paywall systems, user lifecycle strategies, or audience segmentation techniques
Experience managing large-scale projects across a range of disciplines

The salary range for this position is:
$119,700 - $199,300 AnnualThe actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
