Senior Product Lifecycle Engineer (Sr PLE)
Execute NPI programs, DMODS, transfers, and localization projects, drive excellence in product performance and reliability by supporting and leading warranty, productivity, and DTV projects, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement for assigned product type. Partner with Manager and project engineers, generating and leading technical evaluations, and providing expert guidance to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction to Eng & Associate Eng. Act as the advance technical contact, manage SAP/Windchill BOM and CN ownership, and drive DMOD projects to maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability. + Provide on-site development engineering support. + Conduct technical investigations and determine the need for design changes. + Recommend and qualify solutions to issues and provide engineering documentation as needed. + Approval authority for all proposed material substitutions thru deviations system. + Generate and lead specific projects in support of warranty, reliability, total cost and quality improvement objectives. + Participate in the disposition of deviant materials and components. Disposition First Piece Inspection discrepancies for mature products. + Drive other teams use of and adherence to engineering validation approval (REA) process.  + Participate and lead the warranty reduction process. + Support new product delivery with engineering documentation, testing evaluation and root cause analysis. + Effectively manage multiple projects and responsible for communication of the project status, design and process improvements to program managers in timely manner. + Create & Implement CN’s, BoM Update. + Sr. PLE Eng as different subcategories to sport product life: Tier (production support), Warranty, Productivity, NPI, NPD Responsibilities: + Teardown analysis at Test Lab for new components or processes to mature products. + Drive warranty projects for improvements and savings. + Support to reduce Warranty. + Support to quality & manufacturing team on mature product questions through the local Meeting/System (TIER 3). + Immediate support for any no conformance spec over PLE portfolio & provides corrective actions. + Make sure to set up Sub-Assemblies BoM’s & raw material on SAP, with proper qty and cost associated for assigned projects. + Engineering changes implementation on time using local systems. + Manage Capex & Opex budget on NPI/ Transfer project as need. + Support global SBD facilities with analysis or shipment of engineering samples. + Improve Quality metrics of responsible portfolio by reduction of FTP (First time Pass) and FSA (Finished Stock Audit) metrics. + Implementation REAs & productivity projects. + Improvement Engineering process as need. + Deliver project implementations (D-Mods, Transfers, Class 6). + Maintain the engineering cage & teardown lab clean (5's). + Meet all mandatory training. + Keep safety rules at plant and engineering areas. Job Requirements: Education required: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline.   + Bilingual in Spanish and English required, intermediate reading & speaking (like 70-80%). Work experience required: + 3-5 years’ experience in design of high-volume electromechanical systems.   + 4-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.  + Advanced engineering concepts, problem solving skills and data analysis.   + A self-starting results-oriented individual who works well in a team environment and commits to tough decisions when required. + Must be well organized, able to handle multiple projects and priorities and be adept at information gathering and technical decision making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to generate and present professional presentations. + Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), lean manufacturing and platforming.  + Ability to collaborate with and lead cross functional team members.  + Proven projects implementation. + Resourceful results-driven individual who consistently delivers results.  + Ability to work on and coordinate multiple, global projects.  + Ability to mentor motivate and develop Engineers colleague.
