About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer, you will elevate Kohl’s omni customer experience and contribute meaningfully to our business growth. You’ll lead design strategy, guide cross-functional collaboration, and drive consistency and quality across selected products and customer-facing domains. Your role is critical in shaping intuitive, accessible, impactful and inspirational customer experiences that drive long term customer loyalty and business return.
In this specific role, you will focus on leading the product and experience design for our loyalty and incentives programs. You will partner with the Group Product Manager and Engineering anchor to design and deliver simple and brand-appropriate experiences across our platforms, driving convenient, connective and confident customer experiences that help customers shop now and shop again at Kohls.
What You’ll Do
Lead a full life cycle of research and design by working iteratively within a balanced team
Collaborate effectively outside of your balanced team to ensure a cohesive end-to-end user experience, within and across various channels
Collaborate effectively with business leaders, technology leaders, creative branding, marketing, operations, and other key stakeholders to define and conceptualize significant business features
Place the customer at the heart of everything, through research, storytelling and store visits
Create amazing experiences for Kohl’s customers and influence balanced teams and key stakeholders to see the value
Advocate for user experience design across the company by conceptualizing new products and features to designing storyboards, workflows, interactions, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and design standards based on business goals and user research
Advocate for Product Design by contributing to its integration as an essential process for improvement and innovation
Inspire, develop, coach and recruit team members effectively by training, counseling and communicating job accountabilities, and empowering teammates to become leaders themselves

What Skills You Have
Required
6-10 years of experience designing products and leading teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Design or relevant field of study or equivalent work experience
Experience designing for loyalty and customer growth as a business outcome
Exquisite eye for detail and world class design
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional thought leadership and vision in UX design, including expert analytical, strategic, and conceptual design skills
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify gap areas, identifying unseen opportunities for creative exploration across multiple lines of business
Ability to act as a subject matter expert and thought leader on user experience design within the company and outside design community using presentation skills demonstrated by giving talks about design
Experience in User-Centered Design, contributing to successful products using Lean Startup and/or Agile methodologies
Deep experience in at least one of the following design skills: User Research, Interaction Design, Visual Design or Service Design
Expert ability to analyze complex environments with technical, business, legal, industry compliance and people aspects, and ability to synthesize a path forward
Demonstrated facilitation skills assisting team(s) and stakeholders to align and guide group cohesion on product vision, high-level business priorities and desired outcomes
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate ideas and advocate best practices in both one-on-one, cross-team, and cross-business settings, in both verbal and written form
Substantial experience with modern front-end systems and open source frameworks
Ability to manage expectations and comfortably navigate conflict to successful resolutions
Preferred
Experience designing for loyalty and customer growth as a business outcomes
Experience in Retail - ecommerce or digital customer engagement
