Working within the 3rd Party Manufacturing team, you will develop and implement strategic category initiatives across the US, Canada and LATAM to ensure the Procurement organization and 3M achieve their cost savings, growth, and working capital goals. You will play a pivotal role by: + **Owning Category Leadership** across 3M Businesses & Divisions, serving as a Procurement Category Specialist for Metals within 3rd Party Manufacturing. + **Driving Supplier Optimization,** helping 3M and the Procurement organization meet its cost savings and working capital goals. + **Innovating Cost Reduction Strategies** by initiating and implementing best practices in Procurement. + **Leading Supplier Engagements** as the primary contact for 3M, spearheading negotiations, supporting effective NPI launches, and managing complex supplier relationships. + **Solving Complex Challenges** by identifying, leading, and implementing solutions for dual-sourcing, negotiation, category strategy, supplier management, and external supply sources. + **Enhancing Processes** by identifying and leading opportunities for improvements that enhance service, speed, or cost, through comprehensive analysis of Procurement data and metrics. + **Building Strong Partnerships** with suppliers and internal 3M stakeholders, including Manufacturing, R&D, Portfolio, Finance, and Supply Chain Operations. + **Negotiating Complex Agreements** to manage supply relationships, including VMI (vendor managed inventory), consigned materials, formula-based pricing, etc. **Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) + Five (5) years of combined experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing in a private, public, government, or military environment.
