If you’re a senior mechanical engineer who consistently delivers results by addressing immediate issues, identifying short-term opportunities, understanding customer needs and identifying changes in them, while supporting colleagues and applying strong functional knowledge within their area of continuous improvement of current molding equipment, while supporting the standardization of new ones, this position would be a perfect match for you!
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Supports standardization of new equipments and continuous improvement of current ones in Mould Assembly & Qualification.
+ Provides technical guidance for development, design and construction of equipment in collaboration with stakeholders both local and global.
+ Examine, develop and maintain value-adding digital enabling tools – for instance data analysis and visualisation via Excel, Minitab and Power Bi.
+ Driving Lean tool by Practical Problem Solving method, extract learnings and share them up stream and globally.
+ Make analysis using Six Sigma Tool Box, providing recommendations for MA&Q.
+ Support business process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
+ Tasks can include: Investigation of technical and scientific parameter, f.ex. running design of experiments evaluation in impact of different variables such as temperatures, humidity; providing input to set the frame for the processing parameters: for new and existing moulds/materials; Testing of equipments around the process and evaluating within LEGO quality standards.
+ Supports development of colleagues and start sharing experience and knowledge to them
+ Identifying improvements outside own area of responsibility

The Mould Assembly & Qualification organization, within Engineering & Quality is responsible for qualifying injection moulds based on standardized inputs that makes the equipment capable to run in mass production. Activities may involve various branches of the engineering profession, for example electronic, environmental, molding or metrology engineering.
**Do you have what it takes?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
+ At least 5 years of demonstrated working experience in similar field and/or position, preferably in a multinational working environment. Specified knowledge about toolmaking and solutions AND/OR about the molding processes
+ Six Sigma Green belt certification
+ Basic knowledge of project management tools and methods (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
+ Fluency in English AND Hungarian
+ Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
+ Good communication and collaboration skills across departments
+ Clear reporting and communication on technical findings to the rest of the project group
+ Proactive, quality-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement
+ Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work under deadlines
+ **This position is fixed term for 2 years**
