Senior Process Engineer - Gas Processing
**Role Overview** Rashpetco/Burullus is seeking a **Process Engineer - Gas Processing** with 7+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the **Engineering and Brownfield Team** in optimizing and troubleshooting gas processing systems, including **compressors, pumps, air coolers, tanks, offsites,** and other essential process equipment. As a **Process Engineer,** you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of gas processing facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role will involve both technical challenges and collaboration within a **Joint Venture (JV) environment** , requiring you to work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** + **Develop and maintain process models** using **Aspen HYSYS, Unisim,** and **PIPESIM** for gas processing systems. + Perform **flare system, PSV,** and blowdown calculations using **Flarenet** . + Conduct **equipmentsizing** for **compressors, pumps, aircoolers, separators, tanks,** **pressure vessels** and **heat exchangers** with tools like **HTRI** . + Contribute to process optimization across systems such as **slug catchers, gas** **dehydration, condensate** **stabilisation, offshore/subsea** **facilities** , and **offsites** . + Assist with **bottleneck analysis** , identifying capacity constraints, and recommending improvements. + Support **Management of Change (MoC)** processes for plant modifications. + Engage in **HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA** , and **QRA** reviews to ensure safety compliance. + Provide technical reports, calculations, and design documentation, ensuring alignment with **Shell DEPs** and **international engineering standards** . + Collaborate with operations teams to resolve production issues, minimize deferments, and enhance product quality. + Work closely with project teams, contractors, and JV stakeholders to meet technical and operational objectives. **What We’re Looking For** + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent). + **7+ years** of experience in process engineering in **gas processing** or **upstream oil and gas design** . + Proficiency in **Aspen HYSYS, Unisim, PIPESIM, Flarenet, HTRO** and **AutoCAD** is plus **.** + Hands-on experience in process systems involving: + **Compressors, pumps, air** **coolers, separators, heat** **exchangers, storage** **tanks** , and **pressure vessels.** + Familiarity with **slug catchers, gas** **dehydration, condensate** **stabilisation** , and **offshore/subsea systems.** + Strong understanding **of international** **process design** **codes and process** **safety standards.** + Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a **Joint Venture environment** , working with cross-functional teams and external contractors. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information and collaborate with diverse teams. + A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving with a focus on safety, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency. **Soft Skills for Success in a JV Environment** + **Adaptability and Flexibility:** The ability to navigate the complexities of working in a Joint Venture environment, managing diverse stakeholder expectations while balancing operational and safety goals. + **Collaboration and Diplomacy:** Strong interpersonal skills to work with different teams, contractors, and external partners in a multinational, cross-cultural setting. + **Project Management Skills:** Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and execute projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality. + **Problem-solving Mindset:** A proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions. + **Attention to Detail:** Accuracy and thoroughness in engineering design, safety reviews, and process documentation. **Performance Measures** + Successful completion of engineering tasks within the defined scope, cost, and schedule. + Effective support in optimizing gas processing systems, contributing to cost reductions and safe, efficient production. + Contribution to plant reliability and asset integrity by addressing bottlenecks and improving process performance. **Why Join Rashpetco/Burullus?** By joining Rashpetco/Burullus, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment with the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and enhance your skills in one of Egypt’s most exciting energy ventures.
