Senior Process Engineer
Job Description • Direct supervision of Engineering Techs on 2nd and 3rd shift. • Coordinate continuous improvement between the functional departments. • Delegate for Engineering Manager when he/she is out of the plant. • Develop and mentor Engineering Techs to advance their skillset. • Provide advanced expertise to Dana, customers and suppliers in harmonic analysis, particularly in regard to NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and balance measurement techniques and analysis. • Train others in the use, understand and maintain NVH and balance improvement equipment. • Program, troubleshoot and validate NVH and balancer equipment. Partner cross functionally, providing hands on support to resolve issues that impact operations. • Identify and execute process improvements focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. • Procure specialized tools and gauges by evaluating design concepts, justifying expenditures, initiating purchase orders, monitoring vendors, and training the plant teams in their use. • Develop and maintain systems for monitoring and control of production processes, including PFMEAs, Work Instructions and Control Plans • Supervise installation of equipment and coordinate supporting functions • Analyze manufacturing impacts of vendor deviations and recommended disposition. Must Have - 8+ years of automotive process engineering experience - Experience with PFMEA, 8D, Five-Why, and Kaizen Events - BS Degree in Engineering - Strong mechanical aptitude (gear head) Nice to Have - Management or supervision experience Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $49.04 - $62.50/hr.
