Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Principle Human Resources Business Partner for the Weapon Systems Division, based in Plymouth, MN. This role will provide consultation and support to the Armament Systems business unit, focusing on engineering and program management client groups.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with the business to implement effective HR solutions in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strategic leadership, strong communication, business acumen, and a results-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as a strategic business partner and consultant to internal customers and stakeholders, including organizational and talent development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and reward and recognition.Establish understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with client leadership teams, and create close partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COE’s), profit and loss (P&L), engineering, and other functional organizations.Support and partner with HR colleagues in operations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations. and organizational effectiveness to support talent strategies.Evolve organizational capability in employee engagement, succession planning and pipeline readiness acceleration, change management, and org design.Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with division leadership, COEs, and HR business leadership.Advise leadership on new ideas and winning practices in the areas of talent acquisition, assessment, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, strategy, on-boarding, change management and communications.Organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and execute concurrent projects and tasks, escalating issues or obtaining additional resources when necessary.Support and enable leaders to make informed decisions about talent and to hold their organizations accountable for business results.Candidates must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication capabilities, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with senior leadership teams.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s plus 6+ years of relevant experience in HR or related field. Will consider 12+ years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement. Experience as an HR Business Partner.Demonstrated success in the application of HR principles, concepts, policies, and practices.Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Developed ability to influence, coach, and consult with senior executive management.Proven ability to support cross-functional projects to completion including organizing, planning, scheduling, and following up on project related items.U.S. citizenship is required
