As a Senior Principal Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Bank Deposits Technology team, you will provide expertise and engineering excellence to build strategic solutions that enable and modernize our core deposits platform. You will address business challenges through innovative engineering practices. Proficiency in various technology delivery concepts, including large-scale cloud computing, modern development practices, scalable coding frameworks, microservice and event-based architectures, domain-promoten design, and automation, is essential. You will guide teams in developing cloud-based solutions using modern patterns, implementing them on both our private and public cloud platforms. Job Responsibilities
Design modern technology solutions collaborating closely with architects, product owners and software engineers.Identify, design and drives adoption of modern technology frameworksProvide hands-on technical expertise in the Design & Development of mission critical applications that can scale operate with up time of 99.999% and processing 4,000+ transactions per secondIdentify and mitigate technology-related risks by implementing robust security measures and compliance standardsGuides the team and the technology they support towards resiliency and stability through quality software developmentIdentify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementationAdheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policiesContribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing J.P. Morgan Chase technologies and infrastructureContinuously education on emerging software engineering patterns
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExpert in one or more programming language(s) including JavaAdvanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplinesAbility to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and ExecutivesExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldExpert knowledge and direct experience building applications in cloud using Kubernetes, Service mesh, Kafka, API Gateways, SQL/NoSQL DB

Practical cloud native experience and Certified in Public cloud (preferably AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional)Expertise and In-depth knowledge in PostgreSQL and distributed SQL DatabasesExpertise using monitoring tools such as DynatraceExperience building applications making use of Kubernetes native features
