Serco is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Principal Military Trainer – Staff Planner, Protection WfF to join our team at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. In this role, you will support the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP), which prepares Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. This is achieved through integrated simulations replicating a robust and realistic operational environment for Large Scale Combat Operations training.

 

In this role, you will:

Conduct mission analysis of higher headquarters guidance (CSA, FORSCOM, CAC)Enable scenario development, planning, and orders development to stimulate specific exercise training needs and unit training objectivesIntegrate training audience objectives into a coherent scenarioTranslate Army doctrinal and force structure changes into scenarios and ordersCoordinate and synchronize warfighting functions in all plans and orders.Develop plans, orders, branches, and sequelsWrite Higher Command (HICOM) orders at the Corps, Joint Forces (JFC), and Land Component (LCC) level for each respective Warfighter ExerciseMaintain an understanding of the changing nature of war and incorporate lessons learned into training scenarios and ordersDuring the Exercise Life Cycle (ELC), serve as a conduit between Training Audiences, Scenario Design/MCTP, and EXCON to plan and prepare exercises

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experienceGraduate of U.S. Army Command and General Staff College or equivalent (MEL4)Prior U.S. Military service as a Field Grade Officer (COL, LTC, MAJ) with Protection background and experienceFamiliarity with current Army and Joint doctrineApplied relevant doctrine to scenario planning including HICOM OPORD developmentExperience writing operational orders and Protection WfF Annexes (Protection, Engineer, Air and Missile Defense) at the Division and above levelCommitment to providing Army warfighters with the best training possibleIntegrated other, non-Protection, WfF personnel into planning and executionAbility to develop and present scenario and order-based training to exercise support staffWilling to travel 25% of the time Active DoD Secret clearance required

Additional desired experience and skills:

Master’s degree with 15 years of experienceGraduate of U.S. Army War College or service equivalentMastery of current Army and Joint doctrineExperience writing operational orders and all Protection WfF Annexes (Protection, Engineer, Air and Missile Defense) at the Corps , Joint Forces (JFC), and Land Component (LCC) levelAbility to facilitate WFX HICOM OPORD development and apply relevant doctrine to scenario planningProficiency in coordinating with divisions, MCTP operations groups, and external stakeholdersCapability to develop and present appropriate training to inform exercise support staff (MCTP, HICOM, EXCON) about the scenario and ordersExperience incorporating best practices into the planning process and products that provide training audiences an example to followSet conditions for scripted stimulus and injects by foreshadowing problem setsExperience as an OCT (Observer, Coach, Trainer) and WFX participantLeadership experience within the Army CTC program, preferably MCTP
