**Job Overview:**
The Senior Principal Construction Specialist is tasked with solving unique and complex problems that broadly impact the business. They must proactively identify and solve the most complex problems that impact the Management and direction of the business. The Senior Principal Construction Specialist is considered a specialist in Construction (Fab), and they offer a broad base of knowledge about the Fabrication Function. The Senior Principal Construction Specialist impacts the direction and resource allocation of programs and projects in their discipline and works within general functional policies and industry guidelines. The Senior Principal Construction Specialist role requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop creative solutions to Construction (Fab) challenges.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Manage the planning, production engineering, and fabrication of a dedicated project
+ Lead constructability effort and follow best practices
+ Liaise and provide support to design engineering and Project Management Teams, Engineering, and Supply Chain Management groups
+ Lead all project reviews, construction, and progress meetings at the site and within the Project Management Team, driving progress at the site
+ Lead safety and quality efforts throughout the site
+ Ensure smooth day-to-day running of construction execution to the highest level of HSE and Quality compliance while maintaining good fiscal governance to project and schedules
+ Maintain a high standard of safe working practices, quality, and productivity, as well as compliance with the Code of Business Conduct
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ 5 years minimum of experience in Construction Management
+ Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Construction Quality Management (CQM), or equivalent are highly desirable
+ Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with project requirements
+ Proven ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective strategies to overcome challenges in construction projects
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex construction concepts to diverse audiences
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced construction environment
+ Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in the construction industry
+ In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and industry best practices
