Senior Power BI Developer

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Power BI Developer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing impactful Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server, and integrating Power Apps where needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, helping to shape data-driven decision-making across the organization.

 

The Role:

Design, develop, and optimize compelling Power BI dashboards and interactive reports. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective visual insights. Perform advanced data modeling and transformation using Power Query and DAX. Manage data access and security models within Power BI. Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to support seamless data integration. Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and complex queries to support reporting needs. Integrate Power Apps into Power BI reports to streamline workflows (desirable skill). Stay informed about Microsoft Fabric capabilities and broader trends in data visualization. High-level familiarity with other visualization tools like Tableau.

 

What you will bring:

Proven experience building end-to-end Power BI solutions in a professional setting. Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL Server environments. Solid skills in DAX, Power Query, and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with Power Apps integration into Power BI dashboards is highly desirable. Basic understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its potential impact on data workflows (good to have). Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective. Comfortable working consultatively and collaboratively with business stakeholders.
