Senior Playwright Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Senior API Automation Test Engineer** with expertise in Playwright to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated API as well as a strong understanding in backend testing. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and reliability of the various data points within our systems.

**In this role, you will:**
+ **Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.**
+ Design, implement, and execute end-to-end test automation frameworks.
+ Design test automation scripts for UI, Web Services and APIs.
+ Uses and modifies existing libraries / tools for automation testing.
+ Plans and executes tests to cover functional, integration, compatibility and regression needs and reports back findings to the team.
+ Helps test automation effort, advocating for automation and contributes to framework design and suggests process improvements.
+ Reviews automated test runs, reports out on automated test execution and coverage statuses, and maintains broken automated tests.
+ Develops key quality metrics and reports to stakeholders in the organization
**What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):**
· Overall 7-12 years of experience in automation testing using Java/selenium with exposure to TDD, BDD.
· Must have 3+ years of strong experience for API automation using Rest-Assured.
· **Must have 2+ years of hands-on automation testing experience with Playwright using JavaScript/Typescript or any JS based framework.**
· Experience in API automaton testing/frameworks is mandatory.
· Proven ability to create and set up API automation frameworks from scratch.
· Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and the ability to write SQL queries for database testing.
· Experience in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar) and integrating automated tests into the build process.

+ Java programing leveraging Rest Assured Library for API/Integration testing.
+ Other: Github & Azure DevOps,Qtest, Cypress, Browser stack, Webdriver.io
