Job Overview

In today's fast-paced technological landscape, the role of a DevOps Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and reliability of production systems. DevOps Engineers bridge the gap between development and operations, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Their expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability is crucial for maintaining system health and performance, which directly impacts business continuity and user satisfaction. By adhering to agreed Service Level Indicators (SLI) and Service Level Objectives (SLO), DevOps Engineers ensure that systems meet performance and reliability standards. Their skills in automation and scripting further enhance efficiency, reducing manual intervention and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Continuously improve infrastructure for scalability, security, and fault toleranceIntegrate DevOps methodology into development, deployment, and operations lifecycleDevelop super clean and well-structured deployment, monitoring, and application management scriptsEnable rapid deployment of new product features while ensuring stability, high availability, and performanceOptimize infrastructure and phase out legacy systemsMonitor and proactively troubleshoot infrastructure resourcesEnsure system security compliance with ING standards and policies (IT RISK)

Key Capabilities/Experience

Scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python, and similar) skills.Advanced to proficient knowledge in RHEL, Windows, MQAdvanced to proficient knowledge in TIBCO BusinessWorks and TIBCO EMSBasic knowledge of XFB/CFTRisk, Vulnerability, and LifeCycle ManagementIncident and Change ManagementAzure Devops, CI/CD, Ansible, JenkinsBasic knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and Cassandra DBExperience with Monitoring tools (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalentStrong Linux and networking skillsExperience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps in combination with AnsibleProficiency in shell scripting or another scripting languageExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English
