Senior Platform EngineerOverviewThe Global Provisioning Team provides consumers with a single point of contact to request infrastructure changes, reduce hand-offs and SLA wait time.
The Senior Platform Engineer drives efficiency and provides value to our internal customers and stakeholders by being part of a global team implementing network configuration changes.

The Role
In this position, you will:
•\tConduct necessary capacity planning to negate wait times for network switch procurement by correlating demand to technology requirements, implementing process bulk ordering and maintaining a switch inventory for install and change activities.
•\tIntegrate network access switch provisioning into the Datacenter Engineering build timeline for all environments.
•\tPrepare high quality documentation and follow all established change management processes.
•\tWork efficiently in a high security environment.
•\tCommunicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization and with external partners.
All About You
•\tPlatform engineering expertise with exposure to two or more of the following areas: LAN, firewalls, Routing and Switching technologies while adhering to standard design methodologies and best practices.
•\tMastery of TCP/IP protocol communications, addressing & subnetting, knowledgeable with IPV6 addressing.
•\tKnowledge of Cisco’s product portfolio: routers, switches, ACI.
•\tKnowledge of Aruba product portfolio: switches, ClearPass, APs.
•\tKnowledge of Arista product portfolio: Spine leaf architecture, Cloud Vision.
•\tCisco certifications such as CCNA and DCCOR preferred.
•\tFamiliarity with scripting tools such as Python, Ansible and Automation to improve process efficiencies and remove errors due to manual inputs.
•\tKnowledge of Infoblox (inc. DHCP, DNS).
•\tDatacenter support experience including racking and cabling of IT equipment is a plus.
•\tAbility to follow process - Evaluate and propose process enhancements to drive efficiencies.

•\tExcellent verbal and written communications skills, and excellent customer support capabilities.
•\tSelf-motivated demonstrating strong organizational and listening skills; and very detail oriented with the ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
•\tAbility to consistently act in a professional manner and communicate with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
•\tMethodical problem resolving skills.
•\tImplementation of Cisco ACI.
•\tUnderstanding of Arista spine-leaf technologies and Cloud Vision is good to have.
•\tBachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
