From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS / OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.

The role
The Senior Planner/Scheduler manages and leads planning and scheduling for bids, projects, or programs against a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB). This role requires expertise in program management structures like WBS, OBS, and PMBs, and control techniques such as PERT, Critical Path, and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
Furthermore, they must reconcile estimates with actual costs and possess basic Earned Value (EV) establishment, tracking, and variance analysis skills.
This position is based at our World Trade Centre office location.
Some key responsibilities include:
Maintenance of relevant project management artefacts such as the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisational Breakdown Structure (OBS), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), Control Account and Work Package Description Documents (CADDs/WPPDs), etcPlanning and scheduling the scope of work within the Project Management tool (i.e. Primavera), developing / implementing and maintaining the PMB, analysing variances in the first instance to understand and support BM/PM/CAM/WPM in reportingPreparation of PMO monthly reporting inputs for Control Account / WorkPackage / Project / Programme dashboardsImplementation of EVM methods and reporting as requiredProvide required deliverables to the customer as contracted (CWBS, CMS, input to contract status reports)On day one you will come with:
9+ years of experience in Project planning and Controls and Project ManagementDemonstrated knowledge of the project management lifecycleAdvanced working knowledge in Earned Value management to a contracted standard (i.e.AS4817:2006)Advanced working knowledge of Primavera and Scheduling Tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Open Plan)Working knowledge of schedule acceleration concepts or tools such as Acumen 360Scheduling – Program Evaluation & Review Technique (PERT) and Critical Path Method (CPM) analysisSchedule Risk Analysis (SRA) using tools such as Primavera Risk Analyser (PRA), Acumen Risk or similar to develop probabilistic schedules (P80 and P90, etc)Financial / Budgetary control of control account & work-packagesIt’s easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don’t see yourself as the perfect fit.
