The opportunity
As a Senior Planner you will play an instrumental part in ensuring company risks are identified and controlled throughout projects within our Energy & Utilities business. This position will form part of our newly created centralised model providing a pathway to accelerate your career. The role is highly varied, involving a portfolio of diverse, synergistic projects and a strong pipeline of future works.
This full-time permanent role can be based in a variety of locations throughout Australia including Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane.
What you’ll do
Prepare resource and cost loaded detailed project delivery schedules, for allocated projects/work packages, using past construction knowledge and experience that accurately reflect the conditions of the contract, design and specifications. Maintain and update the project master schedule, where applicable, incorporating subcontract schedules, to ensure appropriate execution of work package plans are completed as required. Ensure compliance with Downer’s standards and requirements as set by Utilities Performance Commercial & Risk Team, in terms of Schedule Quality and Change Management. Perform delay analysis as needed by the Contract and support with suitable narrative. Manage/ undertake, review and analysis of sub-contractor schedules to confirm alignment with good scheduling practice and Downer standards and requirements. Assist in the development of project practices and procedures. Undertake reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.What we offer

Proficient computer skills including Primavera P6 (essential) and MS Project. High levels of verbal and written communications skills. Power BI knowledge and working experience. Minimum 10 years prior Project Scheduling/Planning experience. Ability to visit multiple site locations including interstate travel when required. Excellent knowledge and understanding of CPM scheduling concepts and delay analysis techniques.About Energy & Utilities…
