Senior Planner, Global Supply Planning
**About the Role** The Senior Global Supply Planner is responsible for managing, analyzing and executing longer-term, strategic planning tasks related to long-range supply and capacity planning, as well as pre-season and in-season supply planning processes to optimize supply availability to global markets. This role is to assess and mitigate any potential supply risk along critical GTM milestones due to demand variations, capacity or fabric/material constraints and forecast variances, etc. To succeed, the candidate will need to build strong relationships with internal (product supply teams, brand and commercial planning team) and external stakeholders (vendors). Strong analytical skills are essential to drive decision-making and ensure processes are integrated and aligned across all regions. **Key Responsibilities** + Support long-range planning (LRP) activities with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with sourcing strategy and addressing key planning scenarios. + Support the Planning Manager in validating forecasts and translating MFP forecasts into capacity, allocation, and material types. + Provide initial allocation guidance for the vendor allocation team and validate through critical GTM milestones. + Translate regional DC receipts plans into PO placement schedules. + Understand demand forecasts and market information from regions to support seasonal and long-range planning. + Validate and present supply signals to ensure a single source of forecast for decision-making. + Create and maintain seasonal buy plans, optimize global PO placement schedules, and set buy strategies (e.g., LLT exceptions, one-time buys, MOQ reviews, buy windows, material pre-positioning). + Drive and execute monthly “Need to Buy” processes and seasonal calendars for buy dates and shipping schedules. + Collect capacity risk assessments and drive resolution actions with regional planning teams. + Partner with capacity planning teams to identify risks and mitigation actions (e.g., fairshare, prebuild, push-out, reallocation, vendor prebuild). + Collaborate with material planning to define material proposition strategies that optimize lead time while balancing liability risk. + Govern buy execution to ensure alignment with global consensus meeting decisions. + Coordinate data gathering and system setup for smooth buy execution. + Roll up capacity and production planning updates for regional communication. + Drive continuous improvement in planning processes to support a customer-centric approach. + Monitor and drive department KPIs including OTP, Acceptance Rates, Calendar Execution, Fill Rates, and support Quality, CSR, and other brand needs. **Key Competencies** + End-to-End Supply Chain Knowledge – strong understanding of how supply planning links to demand, production, materials, logistics, and merchandising. + Capacity Modeling and Scenario Planning – ability to model production capacity, identify constraints, and run what-if scenarios. + Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making – proficiency in using data analytics and tools to make informed decisions. + Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication – experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing relationships with key stakeholders. + Process Discipline – strong grasp of planning cycles, governance routines, and planning parameter management. + Communication and Presentation – ability to clearly communicate supply risks, options, and decisions to both technical and executive audiences. + Continuous Improvement Mindset – experience in driving planning efficiency through process redesign, automation, or data improvements. + Change Management – experience with implementing new processes, technologies, and organizational structures. + Global Mindset – ability to operate effectively in diverse markets and environments. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. MBA or relevant master’s degree is preferred. + 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong background in capacity and production planning or a similar field. + Proven experience managing global teams across multiple countries. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. + Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA). + Advanced analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau). + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. + Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of driving process improvements in a global setting. **Key Stakeholders** + Internal: Global Brand Planning team, regional planning teams, global and regional material teams, global sourcing leads, global capacity planning team, global allocation team, regional production planning teams across 8 countries. + External: 10–40 vendors globally, depending on the brand. Note: This role requires extended working hours due to time zone differences, including frequent global calls during APAC night time.
