Job Overview
The Senior Global Supply Planner is responsible for managing, analyzing, and executing longer-term strategic planning tasks related to long-range supply and capacity planning, as well as pre-season and in-season supply planning processes to optimize supply availability to global markets.
This role assesses and mitigates potential supply risks along critical GTM milestones due to demand variations, capacity or material constraints, and forecast variances. Success in this role requires strong relationships with internal stakeholders (product supply teams, brand and commercial planning teams) and external partners (vendors), as well as strong analytical skills to drive integrated and aligned decision-making across all regions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Long Range Planning (LRP) activities with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with sourcing strategy and planning scenarios.Validate forecasts and translate MFP forecasts into capacity, allocation, and material types.Provide initial allocation guidance for vendor allocation teams and validate through GTM milestones.Translate regional DC receipts plans into PO placement schedules.Present validated supply signals to ensure a single source of truth for decision-making.Maintain and update seasonal buy plans, optimize global PO placement schedules, and set buy strategies (e.g., LLT exceptions, MOQ reviews, blackout periods, material pre-positioning).Drive and execute monthly “need to buy” processes and seasonal calendars for buy dates and shipping schedules.Partner with capacity planning teams to assess risks and define mitigation actions (e.g., fairshare, prebuild, reallocation).Collaborate with material planning to define material proposition strategies balancing lead time and liability risk.Govern buy execution to ensure alignment with global consensus decisions.Coordinate data gathering and system setup for smooth execution.Communicate capacity and production planning updates to regional teams.Drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to enhance customer-centric processes.Support department KPIs: OTP, Acceptance Rates, Calendar Execution, Fill Rates, and Management Reporting.Key CompetenciesEnd-to-End Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong understanding of how supply planning connects with demand, production, materials, logistics, and merchandising.Capacity Modeling & Scenario Planning: Ability to model production capacity, identify constraints, and run “what-if” scenarios.Analytical & Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets and translating insights into strategic actions.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.Process Discipline: Strong grasp of planning cycles, governance routines, and parameter management.Presentation Skills: Ability to clearly communicate risks, options, and decisions to technical and executive audiences.Continuous Improvement Mindset: Experience in process redesign, automation, or data enhancement.Change Management: Experience implementing new processes, technologies, or organizational structures.Global Mindset: Ability to operate effectively in diverse markets and environments.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on capacity and production planning.Proven experience managing global teams across multiple countries.Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills.Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).Advanced analytical skills and experience with tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of driving process improvements globally.R-20250717-0158
