As a Senior Physical Therapist, you will provide clinical expertise in the evaluation and treatment of patients presenting with various conditions, symptoms, functional abilities and strength. You will also assist with additional responsibilities, such as orientating caregivers, observing team competency, documenting reviews and developing programs and protocols. This position offers an excellent way to boost motivation, improve treatment outcomes and leave a positive impression on your community every day. **A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements and occasional remote work.** **_This position will primarily be at Marth Health North but will need to float to South and Tradition in order to support the PT/OT teams at all sites._** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform an evaluation on each patient assigned to determine appropriate problems to be addressed, including range of motion, muscle strength, gait pattern, sensation, balance, coordination, perception, skin integrity, respiration and determination of functional ability. + Establish treatment goals and formulate treatment plans based on patient evaluation. + Review physician request for treatment. + Recommend revision or discontinuation based on evaluation findings. + Administer, review and revise treatment plan as necessary. + Educate patients and their families about functional status, appropriate preventive and therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment and modalities for post-discharge care. + Schedule patients and serve as a point person for PT-related matters. + Update Epic documentation. + Participate in relevant committees. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy + Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OP) or Athletic Trainer's (AT) Board + Three years of clinical experience + Demonstrated clinical competence Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Acute care experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
