Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. In this role, you’ll be supporting silicon design teams by developing and deploying the latest construction physical design tools, flows, and methodology on cutting edge technology.  You’ll work with EDA vendors to deploy the most up-to-date methods to our design teams while also driving resolution of critical issues.  You’ll focus on the backend physical design implementation while still collaborating with Front End RTL teams and Back End verification teams to ensure a smooth RTL2GDS process.
