Provides subject matter expert support to the Medication Transition team, including, but not limited to, the following: Brand to Generics, Preferred Generics Transitions, Brand to Brand, Brand to biosimilar, DAW 1 & 2 Optimization, New to Marketplace Transitions and Miscellaneous Client Requests.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the image indexing, pre-QA, reorder, performing test claims, doctor call and pharmacist call back functions in the referral and order processes.Monitors the index queue and accurately attaches prescription, referral or other images to patient referral/profile as well as insurance verification.Performs activities including data entry, third party exceptions, member and/or prescriber outreach, documenting relevant information in program (e.g., Scriptmed).Maintains knowledge of disease states along with related medications and supplies to ensure accurate and complete information and services are provided to patients.Researches referrals and requests prescriptions for new or continued treatment from the appropriate MD offices via phone or fax.Manages calls to and from internal and external customers for requests for clarification of prescriptions, needing further information or to inform them of a a delay in service due to lack of needed information.Assists in developing, updating, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures related to system applications, programs and processes.Assists with quality assurance reviews and adjusts workflow balance based on business needs.Other responsibilities, including special projects, as judgment or necessity dictate.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GEDMust have an active pharmacy technician license or certification as required by state Board of PharmacyRelevant work experience in a Specialty Pharmacy, PBM, and/or call center settingIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programsGood verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential mannerStrong initiative with the ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
3 years' work experience in a pharmacy or specialty pharmacy environment2 years' work experience as Pharmacy Technician or in pharmacy dispensing, or completion of national Pharmacy Technician Certification ProgramOrganized and detail oriented with proven problem solving skillsWe will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Salary Range: $20.5 - $27.35 / Hourly
