This position will be located at our client site in Pittsburgh, Dallas, or Cleveland. However, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer with around 8 years of experience in performance testing and engineering, preferably in the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter, along with hands-on experience in performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential to succeed in this role.
• Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies and plans based on non-functional requirements.
• Create, enhance, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner and JMeter.
• Execute various types of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Analyze performance test results to identify performance bottlenecks and root causes.
• Use monitoring tools like Dynatrace to collect performance metrics and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, DevOps, and business to communicate performance findings and provide recommendations.
• Utilize tools like Git for version control and Jira for project tracking and reporting.
• Leverage Logscale (or equivalent log analysis tools) for analyzing application and infrastructure logs.
• Provide performance tuning recommendations for application and infrastructure layers.
• Document performance test approaches, test results, and improvement recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner and JMeter.
• Proficiency in application performance monitoring with Dynatrace.
• Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in version control and collaboration using Git.
• Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and project management.
• Experience with Logscale or similar tools for log analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate performance findings and collaborate with teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in banking or financial services domain.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance testing into DevOps workflows.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $57,100.00 - $121,900.00.
