Job Title: Senior People Business Partner (Field)
Job Summary:
The Senior People Partner is a strategic and hands-on role that partners with business leaders across our field operations and veterinary hospital teams. As a trusted advisor, the Senior People Partner provides guidance and support in areas including organizational design, leadership coaching, talent reviews, culture programs, employee engagement, team member relations, LOA support, retention, and core people strategies. This role requires the ability to build relationships, consult and influence leaders, execute tactically, and collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusted partnerships with business leaders through consultative and collaborative support on people initiatives. Lead talent reviews and drive culture programs that enhance leadership capability, succession planning, and organizational health. Partner with leaders on organizational design and workforce planning, offering expertise in job architecture, team effectiveness, and structural alignment. Provide leadership coaching to field and site leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness and develop people-first capabilities. Guide leaders in creating and executing retention and engagement action plans informed by survey data, business insights, and team feedback. Lead and manage a limited number of employee relations investigations (while the ER team scales), ensuring thorough documentation, consistency, and compliance with laws, policies, and best practices. Provide guidance on performance management and compliance, ensuring consistent and fair practices. Provide guidance to site leaders on leaves of absence and accommodations ensuring a consistent approach and practice. Collaborate with various members of the People Team to deliver enterprise-wide programs (e.g., performance management, compensation frameworks, leadership development, and job leveling). Serve as a change leader, ensuring smooth adoption of new programs, policies, and organizational initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field; PHR/SPHR certification preferred. 7+ years of progressive HR/People experience in areas such as talent management, organizational design, leadership development, employee engagement, and retention. Demonstrated ability to lead talent planning, culture initiatives, leadership coaching, and engagement programs at scale. Experience leading and managing employee relations investigations, with strong judgment and risk-mitigation skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate people data into business insights. Excellent influencing and communication skills across all levels of the organization. Strong business acumen and the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution. Comfortable managing ambiguity and addressing complex issues without established processes. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs. Compensation: This position offers a base salary range from $120,000-130,000 with opportunity for an annual incentive.
