Job Description

As the clinical research division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, PPD has launched Patient First, a group dedicated to enhancing the patient experience from the first click to the final visit. Utilizing human-centered, digitally enabled solutions, Patient First optimizes patient recruitment and engagement, site operations, and quality data collection.


We are seeking a Senior Patient Recruitment & Engagement Lead to manage global Patient Recruitment strategies for our drug trials. This critical position will implement strategy and drive delivery using recruitment and retention tools and site recruitment optimization tactics.

Responsibilities:

Leads the implementation of global Patient Recruitment & Retention strategies to ensure effective trial delivery.Act as a functional lead on the project team to ensure operational excellence, consistency, quality, innovation, and learning. Collaborate with clinical teams to assess strategy performance throughout the course of the study. Appropriately escalate issues and provide solutions for risk management and strategy adjustment.Maintain compliance with study tools, training materials and system updates.Assess the performance of the PR strategy globally and function as SME, with the ability to review metrics and pivot the strategy to meet study target in consideration of the overall recruitment picture at country and site levels. Collaborate with the Clinical Project Manager to prepare/present at client meetings, including kick-off meetings.Oversight of project financials; identify out of scope tasks and support creation of Contract Modifications.Review progress against contract and present project information to sponsor and management.

This is a home-based position in the US (east coast preferably) for candidates with 5+ years of central study, global experience with recruitment materials, recruitment management, budget experience and functional lead experience.  


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree Previous clinical patient recruitment management experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years’ experience) In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Clinical Management experience with a focus on Recruitment and Retention.Project Management experience.Effective leadership and training skills; capable of motivating teams.Excellent planning and organizational skills to effectively prioritize workload for self and team members.Solid interpersonal and critical thinking skills to promote teamwork in a multicultural matrix organization.  Proven ability to work in high pressured situations.Solid understanding of change management principlesStrong judgment, decision making, escalation, and risk management skills.Strong oral and written communication skills, including English language proficiency.Provides excellent customer service and fosters teamwork among internal and external customers.

The salary range estimated for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 USD. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer. 

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $93,800.00–$140,000.00.
