Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, test, and support batch applications focused on commissions and amortization processes. Roles and Responsibilities: Application Development: * Design and implement Oracle PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and database objects (tables, views, triggers, types, synonyms) * Enhance or build new applications to generate commissions reports * Collaborate with technical leads and analysts to gather requirements, create technical designs, and ensure alignment with coding standards * Apply advanced Oracle features such as analytical functions, MERGE statements, partitioning, job logging, file handling, external tables, and exception handling * Optimize performance through tuning and adherence to best practices * Develop and test Unix scripts for secure file transfers (sFTP) * Conduct thorough unit and system testing, ensuring accuracy against production benchmarks * Maintain source code using SVN and follow established version control practices * Prepare documentation for job scheduling tools and manage change requests * Use ticketing systems to track and resolve issues and follow compliance protocols for code deployment
