What is the opportunity? 

Senior Operations Initiative Lead role is responsible for representing Client Acquisition & Service operational teams on initiatives aligned with the Insurance & Operations strategy.  This role acts as the primary point of contact between Operations and Digital Delivery and other business partners to ensure desired outcomes are clearly understood and achieved. They will utilize operational, product and process knowledge to lead initiatives by collaborating with designated subject matter experts to contribute to the vision, design, and implementation of initiatives to achieve Operational Excellence. They will present findings, process impacts, identify business requirements, and share alternatives to improve quality, customer satisfaction, employee experience and cost performance. This role holds a senior level of trust and authority to make recommendations and decisions on behalf of, or in conjunction with Operations Process Owners and Operations Leaders and presents opportunities to achieve career goals and objectives.

What will you do?

•Manage medium to high complexed initiatives from start to finish representing Operations as a key stakeholder on Digital and other business partner projects

•Partner with Digital development teams and translate business strategy into operational process requirements, working alongside Process Owners, Business Leaders, and Operations Enablement for implementation and control plans.

•Advocate and champion for the business and participate in new initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement and simplification consistent with the vision of Operational Excellence in addition develop initiative implementation plan with internal/external partners.

•Identify potential operational process risks, issues, and decisions to mitigate and communicate quickly to meet objectives or revised and approved objectives

•Responsible for the development of Business Readiness plan and collaborates to ensure successful initiative implementation for operational teams through to steady state

•Utilize end-to-end operations knowledge, SOP writing, and facilitation skills as required to support other Operational Excellence teams and partners on high impact cross-functional initiatives to ensure successful and timely implementation

What will you need to succeed?

Must Have

•Minimum 5 years of Life & Health insurance experience

•Project related experience with a focus on business implementation process, design and delivery

•Demonstrated knowledge of tools and techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling initiatives

•Demonstrated prioritization and organization skills with the ability to work towards multiple deadlines

•Analytical thinking and attention to detail

•Change Management and adaptability

Nice to have:

•Experience in the following is considered an asset

•Digital Business Specialist (former Business Specialist)

•Experience in client-facing Insurance operations role ideally with knowledge of Inforce Client Service processes or related Ingenium knowledge/skillset

•Project Management and/or Business Analyst experience

•Knowledge of various Insurance business lines (Life & Health, Group Benefits, Wealth)
