**Job Overview:** The Senior Operations Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Operations Engineering (Fab) discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Operations Engineering (Fab) discipline. The Senior Operations Engineer solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Operations Engineer impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Operations Engineering (Fab) team and other related teams and ensures they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Develop and implement effective strategies and plans for project execution, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and manage all aspects of EPCI projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, and installation activities + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle + Identify opportunities for streamlining operational processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness + Conduct thorough analyses of project data, performance metrics, and lessons learned to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions + Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures + Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address project challenges and ensure effective communication and coordination + Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring seamless integration of engineering, procurement, construction, and installation activities + Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards associated with project activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards + Promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all operations adhere to relevant HSE policies and procedures + Undertake regular site visits and inspections to assess compliance with safety protocols and drive a proactive approach to risk management + Liaise with the fabrication hook-up group on the projects that they are responsible for and provide them with the required marine support equipment and logistics assistance + Ensure conformance to Level 2 procedures for all the project-specific wire rope applications and rigging + Review pre-rigged sling tie-downs and protection arrangements prepared by field engineers + Responsible for compilation of project rigging certification **Essential Qualifications and Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering) + Minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity with proven experience in operations engineering within the EPCI industry + Sound knowledge of EPCI project lifecycle, engineering principles, and industry best practices + Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and oversee complex projects + Analytical mindset and ability to utilize data-driven insights for process improvement + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders + Strong HSE mindset and commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel + Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Lean) would be advantageous \#LI-AM1 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
