Construction Warehouse & Stores Team Member-PETCHEM

Inventory Planning and Control:

Assist in implementing standard systems, templates, and processes for inventory management to streamline store operations and maintain consistency.

Track the availability of different materials/products and manage inventory levels at the warehouse/stores to ensure optimal stock levels.

Material Receipt and Storage Management:

Assist in executing the process for material issue to users and timely update inventory levels after issuing goods, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Maintain accurate records in SAP, including documents and details of material issues and procurement, to support effective inventory management.

Forward invoices and supporting documents to Head Accounts (HAC) through the Document Control Cell for processing and billing.

Inventory Utilization and Disposal:

Assist in identifying and liquidating non-moving inventory (NMI) to optimize space and resources.

Execute asset liquidation and scrap or write-off processes for identified non-moving and surplus inventory as directed by the Head of Stores.

Implement asset scrapping or write-off procedures based on Delegation of Authority (DoA) to ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Help evaluate the shelf life of inventory and assist in classifying materials based on criticality and aging, such as Vital, Essential, Desirable, Slow-Moving Inventory (SMI), Non-Moving Inventory (NMI), and Normal Spares.

Risk and Compliance Management:

Assist in resolving discrepancies between electronic records and the physical state of inventory for the assigned store category to ensure accurate inventory reporting.

Assist in identifying and prioritizing risks related to stores, inventory control, and disposal, using procurement risk lists, supply market analysis, and project risk registers.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Science/ Commerce/ Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration/ related field.

Certification or diploma in inventory/materials management is desirable.

Work Experience (Range of years):

4+ years of relevant work experience in managing stores, inventory management, and scrap management, including experience in handling project/O&M stores.

Familiarity with inventory classification & control methods, the 5S process, and SAP Material Management Module/SD module for waste and scrap management.
