The Senior SVT QA – SONiC NOS Test Engineer role is geared toward a seasoned QA professional with 12+ years of deep, hands-on experience in testing complex Network Operating Systems (NOS) and driving quality across the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in functional, system-level, and performance testing of NOS platforms, with a strong command of Layer 2/3 networking protocols such as VLAN, STP, BGP, OSPF, and EVPN-VXLAN. This role requires strategic ownership of test planning and execution, including architecting scalable automation frameworks using Python and embedding them into CI/CD pipelines. Additional responsibilities include designing real-world test topologies, leading interoperability and failover testing, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Proficiency with tools such as Ixia and Spirent is essential, and familiarity with GenAI technologies is a plus. A proven track record of technical leadership, effective communication, and relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) is highly valued, along with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
