The Senior NIL Operations Specialist will play a key role in executing and enhancing NIL support services for Learfield’s collegiate partners. This role focuses on internal operations, ensuring there is appropriate onboarding for school partners with dedicated NIL personnel. The specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams, school partners, student-athletes, and Compass NIL.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, NIL Growth and Development and work closely with the NIL Impact team, along with stakeholders across Learfield’s divisions.
Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and distribute comprehensive onboarding documentation, including user guides, toolkits, video tutorials, and FAQs tailored to different stakeholder groups (NIL Impact group, athletes, administrators, brands).Own the end-to-end internal operational lifecycle for new hires and NIL personnel, including onboarding planning, systems setup, training delivery, and role readiness.Monitor onboarding success through surveys and feedback mechanisms and iterate on materials and processes to improve clarity, usability, and engagement.Act as a thought leader in NIL internal operations by identifying best practices and scalable models across campuses with existing NIL personnel, driving consistency and innovation in NIL strategy execution.Support Impact team training initiatives related to NIL services, helping cross-functional teams stay aligned with best practices and current regulatory updates.Stay current on national NIL trends, legislation, and industry shifts to proactively inform internal strategy and internal education.Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years in a client-facing or business development-focused roleExperience in NIL, sports marketing, sponsorship, or athlete marketingExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and service-first mentalityProactive problem-solving abilities with the capability to work under tight deadlinesHigh proficiency in Microsoft OfficeDetail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skillsProven ability to manage multiple workflows and stakeholder relationships simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:
