Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for all aspects of network design, implementation, operation and support. This is a senior level position that will incorporate tactical response and strategic consideration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides advanced technical expertise to maintain the stability and security of the company’s networked environment to include SD-WAN, Data Centers, LAN, WLAN and Firewalls.Works with business leadership on behalf of clients to ensure that requirements are understood and metConfigures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related servicesEscalation Point and Subject Matter Expert for all network related problemsAuthor and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented servicesIndependently manages large enterprise projects to deliver value on time and within budgetProvides technical oversight and design of hosted data center configurations and footprintsWorks with leadership to manage support and maintenance contractsEstablishes and maintains relationships with key network and data center vendors

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY:  An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

Advanced hands-on skills related to implementing and administrating enterprise network devices: Firewalls – Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and PFSenseLoad Balancers - F5 and HA ProxyTraffic shapers and QoS – Cisco Routers and SilverPeakNetwork Switches – Mellanox Cumulus, Cisco and MerakiRemote Access – Cisco AnyConnect, Zscaler and Global ProtectWireless Access Points – Cisco and MerakiMonitoring and Reporting – SolarWindsNetwork Tasks Automation – AnsibleSD-WAN – SilverPeakCloud Networking – Azure, AWS and Hybrid CloudDNS - BINDA thorough understanding of available network and security technologies including cost, benefit, price, etc.A thorough understanding of hosted data center strategies (Converged and Hyper-converged infrastructure) and operational considerationsStrong hands-on working knowledge of Linux (SUSE, Ubuntu, Cumulus, CENTOS, etc.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical certifications10+ years of network engineering and administration mandatoryMinimum 3 years in a Senior or Lead role
