Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and support of network technologies across the company's global landscape with a high degree of focus on security and next generation connectivity. The Senior Network Engineer will also provide on-going day to day tier 3 support for the global data network in response to related support tasks and troubleshooting. Responsibilities: * Design, develop and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure * 3rd level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues * Maintenance of all monitoring and reporting systems * Produce and maintain documentation related to all systems developed/deployed * Perform on-call duty for non-business hours support as per shift assignments * Perform administrative tasks pertaining to time entry and status reporting * Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) * Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations * Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability * Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning * Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure * Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team * Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution * Open for 24x7 availability * Conduct technical trainings to internal resources
