In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing innovative, efficient, and actionable technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with other engineers to translate customer needs into use cases and high-level requirements, and to identify suitable solutions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that products are delivered on time, under budget, and with successful deployment.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and executing action plans for implementing new technologies and replacing network equipment in the data center infrastructure.

Technical SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for projects where assigned as the point of reference for any requirements that arise.

Preventive and corrective maintenance of network equipment in the data center and company stores.

Supervision and management of the physical network infrastructure in the Data Center, including coordination of rack installation, cross-connections, and patch cords.

Carry out the planning, management, and execution of tasks related to ABM of network equipment and connections in the Data Center and in the company's own stores.

Install or participate in the installation of internal networks and connections to external networks.

Execute requirements related to projects, both inter- and intra-area.

Configure internal networks in accordance with operational and security requirements (routing, switching, access, server/service balancing) outlined in accordance with corporate practices (policy/standards/procedures/guidelines).

Diagnose problems and execute the appropriate corrective actions according to the nature of the problem (reconfigurations, equipment changes, components, network software).

Identify, recommend, and implement updates related to network equipment configuration.

Identify and keep up to date the documentation generated related to ad hoc procedures, network infrastructure (topologies, and connectivity diagrams).

Ensure the life cycle of each network device in the data center infrastructure and plan for its replacement, as necessary to ensure the operation of the network(s) in accordance with established service levels.

Maintain permanent coordination with the areas that make up the IT department in relation to network services to ensure implementation, operation, and service levels in accordance with the requirements established for the applications.

Design or participate in the design of internal networks and connections to external networks, as well as the implementation of new network technologies.

Report on project progress, statistics, and operating conditions, maintenance windows (risk and impact assessment), updates, the organization's networks, and connections to external networks.

Role Requirements

3+ years of experience in similar functions, helping to install and maintain the Data Center network infrastructure and interconnection to entities, regional offices and connection to the networks of own facilities, participating as a focal point representing the area of networks in projects and interdisciplinary work teams to propose solutions through connectivity schemes. Student or graduate in Engineer or bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science (University Degree related to telecommunications). Solid understanding of technologies and devices: Switches Cisco IOS & NEXUS, Router Cisco IOS 12&15, Firewall Cisco ASA & FTD, Firewall FortiGate. Proficiency handling Office packages (Word and Excel), project applications and ticket applications such as ServiceNow. Advanced English level is required. Excellent priority management, multitasking with a focus on Agile methodologies is expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You'll also be eager to adopt and learn new cloud technologies, supporting ongoing projects deployed in the cloud. Availability to work from Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm.
