Senior Motion Graphics Designer

We’re looking for a Sr Motion Designer to join Brand Maker Studio at Snap Inc. **What you’ll do:** + Partner closely with our creative team to create visually stunning and engaging motion graphics for various digital platforms, including Snapchat, social, web, and video content. + Develop, define and implement our motion design systems across our portfolio of brands. + Ideate and execute new creative ways to communicate new products, features and company developments to the world through motion design. + Lead the development and execution of high priority motion design projects from start to finish. + Help to elevate and raise the quality of motion design craft across all aspects of our portfolio of brands. + Help to grow, develop and define the team's creative culture. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** + Passionate for visual storytelling through motion design, and excited to partner with creatives, marketers, and producers to bring creative concepts and ideas to life. + Expert in building, maintaining and implementing cohesive motion design systems, with a high level of craft, attention to detail, and consistency across a wide range of touchpoints. + Ability to think conceptually and transition creative ideas into thoughtful and well crafted motion design work that ensure brand consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across our portfolio of brands. + Effectively sell through motion design work in compelling and effective ways to large cross functional teams and stakeholders, including creating storyboards, animatics, moodboards and visual aids to communicate design concepts. + Be highly curious and passionate about exploring new creative formats and ways of design execution that help drive business impact. + Manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to make quick, high-quality decisions based on evolving project needs and creative goals. + Work in a clear and thoughtful manner and be able to articulate the strategic thinking behind your creative process. + Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. + Have a deep understanding of motion design, branding and marketing processes. + Thrive in a collaborative environment, but can also work autonomously with strong time management skills. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in motion design or equivalent experience + 8+ years of experience working in motion design, with a track record of creating work that's both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. + Hands-on creative with demonstrable experience working as a motion designer (in-house, freelance or agency) + Up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in motion design. + Highly proficient in the After Effects, Cinema 4D and Blender **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with hardware and product design teams to bring your work to life. + Experience working with emerging technologies such as AR/VR and AI. + Specific expertise in After Effects and motion graphics. + Experience working in a Google Docs lead project environment is a plus. Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
