Senior Mortgage Oversight Specialist

The Senior Mortgage Oversight Specialist will conduct more complicated oversight reviews and mortgage operational activities to ensure mortgage loans are originated, serviced, and managed in accordance with all contractual requirements, HSBC policies and applicable regulations and to mitigate future regulatory and litigation risks. The role is focused on Default Servicing activity. as well as overall customer experience.

As our Senior Mortgage Oversight Specialist, you will:

Conduct necessary sampling, document/report reviews, reconciliations, on-site audits, etc. to ensure mortgage loans are originated and serviced in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements and HSBC financial and operational records are appropriately maintainedDevelop, update and review HSBC oversight procedures based on contractual agreements, industry changes and other trendsAnalyze and evaluate industry, regulatory and performance trends and propose changes to current mortgage outsource provider contract based on analysis completedPrepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports pertaining to mortgage activities, including mortgage outsource provider performanceReview overall mortgage performance, including customer service, financial and risk. Serve as liaison for escalated complaints. Act as focal point to coordinate with HSBC and externalstakeholders as appropriate (including Finance, Customer Experience, Risk, Compliance andMortgage Investors)Ensure sub-servicer remediates service levels that do not conform with the sub-servicer agreement, including appropriate escalation of non-conforming issues and ensuing penaltiesSupport activities within mortgage servicing and oversight functions; resolve exceptional problems that arise. Ensure coordination of activities with HSBC and external stakeholders as appropriate (including Finance, Customer Experience, Risk, Compliance and Mortgage Investors)Implement the Group compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulatorsComplete other responsibilities, as assigned.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $73,400.00 and $110,100.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
