About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Patch Management Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the delivery, governance, and reporting of Microsoft Windows patching across our customer base. You will be instrumental in ensuring high levels of security and compliance through effective vulnerability remediation and patch deployment. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and performance of our client environments through rigorous process execution and continuous improvement.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Deliver monthly Microsoft Windows OS patches using industry-standard tools (e.g., Automate, Microsoft Defender).
Govern and manage the patching lifecycle, including scheduling, rollout, and tracking across diverse customer environments.
Troubleshoot patch deployment failures in collaboration with internal teams and develop effective remediation strategies.
Maintain high patch compliance (target: 99%) and compile detailed data for monthly compliance reporting.
Interpret identified vulnerabilities and develop structured remediation plans; coordinate with technical teams and create tickets as needed.
Lead the onboarding process for new clients into patch management, including agent deployments and initial setup.
Create and maintain accurate process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
Utilize a strong analytical mindset to identify root causes, optimize workflows, and contribute to ongoing service improvements
🔹 Requirements:
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server (2012 and newer).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and its patching capabilities.
Experience using patch management and vulnerability scanning tools.
Familiarity with ITSM platforms, particularly ServiceNow (SNOW).
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret vulnerability data and translate it into actionable remediation steps.
