Senior Mission Protection Systems Engineer - Clearance Required
**Description:** This position will work within the Double Eagle program, which supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7 Operations\. This position provides senior\-level technical expertise, analysis, and engineering support for Mission Protection \(MP\) efforts at the behest of our customer\. This position requires strong engineering, analytical, and problem\-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\. The selected candidate must be able to: • Serve as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate strong project leadership skills, collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries • Perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors • Keep customer and contractor leadership appraised of activities, deliverables, problems, and opportunities • Provide Mission Protection \(MP\) support to Enterprise projects, as well as to other programs as directed by the customer • Maintain situational awareness on evolving concerns and new developments including participation at key conferences and forums Key Responsibilities: • Develop, coordinate, train, evaluate, and analyze Courses of Action \(COAs\), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures \(TTPs\), Response Options \(ROs\), and CONOPS documents related to Mission Protection • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Planning functional areas to provide vehicle and system vulnerability/capability assessments based on available threat intelligence data • Identify shortfalls in indications and warnings, and foundational intelligence • Incorporate space protection processes into station procedures, processes, training, requirements, CONOPs, directives, and/or operating instructions • Develop and deliver tailored space protection related presentations for Engineering, Operations, and Planning customers and contractors, as well as external senior leadership • Use available data and visualization tools to analyze and assess threat events and options • Maintain situational awareness as new systems become operational and future systems are planned • Develop mission plans for various mission impacting scenarios • Support Space Control related tests, exercises, and training **Basic Qualifications:** • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly • Experience and ability to communicate directly with customers while maintaining composure and professionalism on complex, high stress issues • Experience developing detailed CONOPs documentation **Desired Skills:** • Prior Double Eagle experience • Prior experience with orbit analysis and determination, Guidance, Navigation, and Control \(GNC\), Telemetry, Tracking, and Commanding \(TT&C\), or Radio Frequency Interference \(RFI\) • Knowledge of and prior experience with STK or other orbital modeling software • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communications skills • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills\. • Strong written and verbal communications skills • Ability to respond on a 24/7 basis if necessary **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** TS/SCI w/Poly **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 \- $150,765\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
