Your Opportunity Experienced National Environmental Policy Act(NEPA) planner and environmental planner with ability to write NEPA documents and support projects through the federal environmental permitting processes from constraints analysis/scoping through regulatory consultations to environmental certification (FONSI or ROD). Full-time position reporting to Stantec’s Honolulu, HI office. Position is eligible for remote hybrid work arrangement. Your Key Responsibilities "Your Capabilities and Credentials - Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail. - Strong technical writing, analytical and oral communication skills. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities. - Ability to manage time effectively and meet firm deadlines. - Ability to acquire background clearance sufficient to gain entry to military installations and/or controlled access facilities. - Valid driver's license with good driving record - Position requires a pre-employment Drug screen - Additional Preferred Skills:- Experience with environmental analysis and permitting for military projects (Navy, Marine Corps, Air National Guard, Coast Guard, Air Force, etc.) or projects for other federal government entities on Federally- owned lands. - Support preparation of environmental permit applications with various federal and state agencies for a variety of project types/sizes. - Experience with State of Hawaii Revised Statute Chapter 343 requirements as well as local Hawaiian organizations and state agencies. - Manage the project or task team (office- and field-based) and their assignments, deliverables, files and administrative record, safety program, subconsultants and their contracting process, and client and their expectations; and monitor and review project contracts, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
