Job Description: 

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will create, manage and support the full suite of LTX Trading applications. 

You will work with development and infrastructure teams to help design complex and secure business critical applications. You will automate manual work while building scalable, highly available, financial systems. 

You will be Responsible for the engineering, deployment, documentation, implementation, and management of Cloud-based and on-premise network and infrastructure.  These solutions must be resilient, secure, highly available and scalable across evolving technology/architecture. 

  

  

Key Responsibilities: 

Support and troubleshooting of LTX Trading applications (including High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Vulnerability Management, Incident Management, Patching and Change management) 

Analyze, provide feedback and assist in implementation of system infrastructure 

Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and delivery both in the cloud and on-prem 

Immerse yourself in the product’s codebase and architecture, understanding how critical components work together – work with system hardware and software vendors for any support discussions 

Participate in cross-functional projects, working with others for on-going issues, release schedule and general system administration issues 

Implement tools and dashboards for various services and operations of the LTX Platform includes operational, capacity monitoring 

Manage or assist in the resolution of complex technical problems, while providing appropriate communications to all involved business partners and key stakeholders, including senior management 

  

  

Required Experience: 

5+ years of experience, Product support experience is a must.  You must be able to write scripts to preform system automation utilizing an automation framework such as Chef or Ansible 

Performance testing, capacity planning experience 

Must know how to troubleshoot deployment issues. Emphasis on automating processes and not manual changes 

Should have a working understanding of CI/CD  (i.e. Jenkins, Gitlab) 

Should understand general networking concepts and how requests are routed to various components 

Strong experience with UNIX/Linux along with cloud computing 

  

Required Skills: 

Linux or another similar OS administration experience 

Shell Scripting (Bash and Python preferred) 

Docker, Kubernetes or other container-based system 

Git 

Understanding of Networking Concepts 

Splunk or other equivalent monitoring tool. 

Experience in working in an Agile environment 

Demonstrated support experience of a customer facing application/system 

  

Preferred Skills: 

  

AWS, including experience using and supporting applications utilizing EC2, ALB, Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS (Aurora), EFS, API Gateway 

Jenkins, Terraform, Chef or other Infrastructure as Code tools 

Git or other version control system 

Financial Systems Support 

Understanding of FIX Protocol 

Experience of working with outsourced technology providers. 

Demonstrated strong operations and service delivery skills, with both onshore and offshore team members 

Track record of success in a matrix organization 

Linux troubleshooting for performance 

Java/JVM experience
