Job Description

The Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology position involves:

Advancing science and standards of care for patients, healthcare providers, and payers.Working as key members of the affiliate medical department, focusing on medical and scientific engagement with AbbVie stakeholders.Communicating information and facilitating dialogue about AbbVie’s marketed products, and compounds in development, in a strictly scientific, non-promotional manner.Enhancing the scientific credibility of the company with thought leaders through scientific dialogue and collaborations.Participating in initiation, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies and medical projects.Providing scientific and technical leadership and support to internal teams such as sales and marketing.
Qualifications
Pharmacist or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred.Experience in rheumatology and immunology and medical research is highly preferred.Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs’ role.Demonstrated expertise in scientific methods applied to clinical research.Ability to learn new subject areas and environments comprehensively.Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.A good understanding of written and oral English.High customer orientation.Strong commitment to compliance with rules and procedures, and scientific quality and integrity.
