Overview As a Senior Media Planner, you’ll be responsible for leading media strategy development, guiding junior team members, and managing key client accounts. You will work closely with clients, account managers, and the creative team to craft strategic media plans that align with the client’s goals and maximize campaign performance. You will have a deep understanding of traditional or digital media, and will be expected to oversee all aspects of media planning, buying, and performance tracking. This is a senior-level role that requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-profile campaigns with precision. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic media plans for clients, ensuring alignment with their goals and target audience Lead the media planning process, from research and analysis to strategy development, recommendations, and execution Collaborate with clients to understand their marketing objectives and create tailored media solutions Oversee media buying across multiple channels (digital, TV, print, radio, out-of-home, social media, etc.) Manage media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and effective optimization of resources Supervise and mentor junior media planners, helping them develop their skills and grow in their roles Conduct media research to stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and audience insights Analyze and optimize campaign performance, making recommendations for adjustments to improve ROI Present media strategies, campaign results, and recommendations to clients in regular reports and meetings Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners to negotiate the best rates and placements Keep up-to-date with digital media innovations, including programmatic advertising, data analytics, and new platforms Collaborate with creative and account teams to ensure that media plans integrate seamlessly with campaign creative and messaging Qualifications 3+ years of experience in media planning or a similar role, ideally in an advertising agency or media buying environment Expertise in traditional or digital media, with a deep understanding of all media channels and how to integrate them effectively Strong knowledge of media planning tools, data analytics, and digital advertising platforms Proven experience in leading media strategy development, managing budgets, and optimizing campaigns for maximum impact Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable insights Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey media strategies and results to clients Experience in negotiating media placements and securing optimal rates with vendors Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and offer innovative solutions Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiarity with media planning software is essential Excellent written and spoken English Additional information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger.
