As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical systems for advanced storage solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components.
Responsibilities
+ Design mechanical components and system architecture.
+ Solve engineering problems to enhance performance and manufacturability.
+ Collaborate with teams across various engineering disciplines.
+ Support existing products in service, manufacturing, and sales.
+ Research and develop new solutions based on customer needs.
+ Assist with field installations and troubleshooting.
+ Utilize change management processes for product updates.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in design and SolidWorks CAD.
+ Strong background in mechanical engineering, GD&T, and product development.
+ Experience in FEA, machine design, testing, DFX, stepper, servo, robotics, and electromechanical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
+ 10+ years in product development or sustaining engineering.
+ 8+ years designing capital/process equipment and robotics.
+ Experience with the full product lifecycle, from concept to production.
+ Skilled in engineering analysis tools such as FEA and DFX.
+ Familiarity with manufacturing processes like injection molding and stamping.
+ Knowledge of motor technologies including stepper, servo, and DC motors.
+ Experience with ISO 9000, ISO standards, and FDA/cGMP is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is part of the R&D team focusing on refrigeration and Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) systems. The work environment includes both office settings and remote work opportunities. The company supports the biotech industry and offers good management practices.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Franklin, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
