Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer reports to the Engineering Group Manager within the Global Engineering Industrial Design Services Team. Mechanical Designer with experience, in a working environment of 3D modeling software to produce customer facing, fabrication, sales and marketing drawings and materials. Individual must be able to perform independently or as a member of a team. This position will be responsible for the mechanical design, of CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, facility cleaning equipment, chemical monitoring dosing & application equipment. The designer will also be required to provide accurate and timely internal and external customer service assistance for current and past projects. This position will be responsible to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner, both in the office and at customer locations (which will include manufacturing environments).
 
What You Will Be Doing:

Develop mechanical designs and drawings with or without existing templates

Develop mechanical design related equipment documentation

Perform visual equipment check-out as designed

Interface with Sales, Marketing and Project Management teams

Coordinate project activities with other Ecolab associates, outside vendors/contractors and customers

Produce clear and timely documentation including trip reports and project updates

Perform site surveys to identify and document existing customer equipment and processes.

Support of existing on-site equipment. Includes phone and remote technical assistance/troubleshooting for installed systems and components

Start-up and customer training as needed

Assist with development of new offerings and updates of existing offerings

Adhere to agreed-upon schedules and budgets

100% compliance on all safety metrics and initiatives

           
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related with 5 years in mechanical design and drafting experience

Experience with 2D and 3D modeling software, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or SOLIDWORKS

Familiarity with mechanical schematics, process flow diagrams and P&ID’s

Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the industrial industry or manufacturing environment

Equipment design and manufacturing experience

AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor software experience

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,400.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
