Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the mechanical structures team. You will be responsible for designing components for the flagship Horizon tracker, supporting a wider range of environments and addressing challenging site conditions while focusing on cost reduction.

ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical components for the Horizon tracker.Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of issues discovered during pilot testing.Lead design from conception to mass production.Collaborate with suppliers to meet product specifications.Focus on cost control in high volume manufacturing.Test and validate designs prior to mass production.Essential SkillsProficiency in Solidworks or other CAD programs.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design.Experience in sheet metal and casting.Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM).Experience in test fixture design.Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and use Ansys.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with solar or renewable energy projects.Familiarity with Confluence, Arena, Real Time board, and Jira.Work Environment

The work environment offers a hybrid schedule with four days per week onsite and one day working from home, typically on Fridays. Lunch is catered twice a week. Engineers have a significant role in developing processes, and the environment is dynamic, allowing for creativity and innovation. The company values the input of its engineers and encourages a hands-on approach to design validation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.31 - $88.94/hr.
