This is a mid-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Mechanical Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.  

Support mechanical design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design teamResponsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings and engineering reportsApply mechanical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and componentsProduce Procurement Specifications and Construction Specifications (Mechanical sections)Attend project meetings and perform field walk downsMentor junior engineers Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.

 

Essential skills and experience:

Must be able to obtain US Government security clearanceBSME or MSME degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program5+ years of progressive responsible experience in mechanical engineering in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial or Navy)Experience with ASME and other national consensus codes and standards

Valued, but not required skills and experience:

PE licenseField Engineering and Construction Experience is a plusExperience with remote handling equipment (e.g., glove boxes, fume hoods, etc.) design and installation strongly desired Award-Winning Benefits
